Frequently Asked Questions

What treatments do you offer?

I offer acupuncture, moxibustion, gua sha, and cupping treatments.

What happens during a treatment?
What should I wear?

You will probably be more comfortable with loose-fitting clothes that can be adjusted to suit the treatment. There will be towels available to provide additional covering if necessary to ensure your comfort. Some clients bring loose shorts and a vest top or t shirt to change into.

When you visit for the first time we will talk about the reasons you have come and about the outcomes your are hoping for.

I'll ask you some questions about your lifestyle and history: diet, work schedule, sleep habits etc. to get an idea of your background influences. Once we have completed this assessment, we'll commence with an initial treatment.

Treatment will likely be a combination of acupuncture and moxibustion. I may also recommend gua sha or cupping treatment. We will discuss all the parts of the treatment before proceeding.

What does it cost?

Each treatment costs £55. Payment by card or cash is fine. I do not accept cheques.

Appointments can be cancelled 24 hours before the appointment time at no charge. Cancellations after that time will incur the appointment fee unless I can fill the appointment time from the waiting list.

Do you specialise in any areas?

I'm happy to help with the issues or problems you are trying to resolve - whatever they are! That said, I am familiar with the tech and academic environments in Cambridge and I am particularly interested in what can be done to support people working or living in fast-paced or stressful settings - both short or long-term. This includes people who find themselves dealing with stress or anxiety and those with musculoskeletal and digestive issues.

Do you offer any discounts?

I offer a 10% discount on treatment prices to Blue Light Card holders.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book on the website here. If you'd like to discuss whether treatment would be suitable for you, or you have any questions, please get in touch. If I can't respond immediately, please leave a message. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
